How to Join Files

Hello, in this tutorial I will show you how to join files .001, .002.... Using HJSplit. Some people will have problem after they downloaded the file that split into many part because they don't know how to join it!

Getting Started

To get started, you will need a file that has been split but cannot be joined using Virtual Dub and cannot be extracted using WinRar. These files will have extensions that look like this: filename.rar.001 with the ".001" number increasing with the amount of files you need joined. For example, if you need to join three files together, you should have a .001, a .002 and .003.

1. Download HJSplit for windows.

2. Make sure the set of split parts (set of files ending in .001, .002, .003, etc.) to be joined all reside inside the same directory.

 3. Open HJSplit and click on the Join button in the main HJSplit screen.

4. After clicking on the Join button in the main HJSplit screen, you will see the following window. Click on the button Input File.

5. Click on the button Input File will open the window shown below. Select the file you want to join. Then press the Open button. Please note that only the first file in the set of split parts (the .001 file) is visible in this window.

 6. After pressing Open, the name and path of the file you just selected will appear in the Input file box. Press the Start button.

7. HJSplit now shows a progress bar with the title Working.

 8. Finally, you will see the message that says Joining Completed.

9. Then the joined file can now be found in the same folder as the split parts.
